Once upon a time, a prestigious shoe company decided to explore new markets. They sent one of their marketing executives to a remote country in Africa to assess the possibilities.

Upon arrival, the executive was stunned.
He saw that not a single person wore shoes — everyone was barefoot.
Shaking his head in disbelief, he returned to headquarters and said,
“There’s no market there. No one wears shoes. Selling shoes would be impossible.”
The company executives were disappointed.
But they weren’t ready to give up yet.
They sent another marketing executive to the same country.
He, too, saw the same reality: not a soul wore shoes.
But instead of despair, his eyes sparkled with excitement.
He rushed back and declared,
“The opportunity is limitless! No one wears shoes yet. If we can introduce the idea, we will dominate the market!”
The CEO was thrilled by this bold vision.
Without hesitation, he appointed the second executive as the Regional Manager for Africa.
This story teaches us an eternal lesson:
There are two kinds of people in the world.
- Some see problems and retreat.
- Others see problems and transform them into opportunities.
The first executive was reactive — he saw a challenge and gave up.
The second was proactive — he saw the same challenge and dreamed of endless possibilities.
In every society, you’ll find both types:
Those who complain, and those who create.
The question is — which one are you?
